Originating in the planned new ARTIC, Orange County Transportation Center, the high speed monorail guideway enters the right of way and the upper banks of the Santa Ana River several hundred feet east of the Center and runs northeast in the river right of way toward the I-15 Freeway, where the guide way would run north in the freeway center median.
Alternatively, the monorail guideway could run directly north from ARTIC station into the median of the Orange (57) Freeway, and run north to the San Bernardino (10) Freeway median high speed monorail corridor, eastward to Ontario, and continue east, intersecting the I-15 Freeway high speed monorail guide way in San Bernardino. From this point, and potential high speed monorail intersection, the guide way heads north to a San Bernardino station, then proceeds north into the mountain and river terrain of the Cajon Pass.
