Beginning, or ending, in a single guide way loop, the Santa Monica-Los Angeles Monorail provides stations located at Third Street Promenade/Santa Monica Place Mall, Santa Monica Pier and Santa Monica Civic Auditorium, before proceeding eastward on a dual guide way in the center of the Pico Boulevard right of way through West Los Angeles, Century City and Midtown districts to the Los Angeles Convention Center, Staples Center, LA Live district of downtown Los Angeles.
