East and West Bay Express Monorails converge on the 1.5-mile Downtown San Francisco Monorail axis serving three stations in the financial, market and South of Market-ballpark districts of the city. Serving as the destination end of a 110-mile express commuter monorail system, the three downtown stations are designed and strategically located to be the highest volume transit, commuter and recreational travel destinations in the San Francisco Bay Area.
